Invoicing

At present we only invoice those parents who pay fees or already use hours at another setting, should we be invoicing all parents even those who are funded?

When I've been audited before the council have wanted the free hours shown on a bill. Alot of work for no gain but it might make parents realise that the 'free hours' are actually costing someone.

Thank you for you replies, it seems a waste of time but if it is a requirement then I'd rather get it right. Why they would need them after we get the parents to sign the funding forms I do not now!

For goodness sake, we have Parental Declaration Forms, we provide Term dates for all parents.......

perhaps if your LEA are paying you at a lower rate than your supply rate this would be a good idea and then parents can see how much you are losing on funding!!! :blink:

We have been told we need to invoice the free hours- however it can have no monitory value!

I remember being told that I needed to invoice even though we weren't open for 15 hours a week so parents never went over funded hours - I'm afriad I must've had an ear infection that day as I really didn't hear what was said correctly so nope never did it!

We too have been told that we must invoice for FEF hours. Presumably to show how many hours have been delivered.
