You know you work in early years when......

You know you work in early years when......

* You spend 5 minutes flattening out and saving the shiny toffee wrappers instead of putting them in the bin. (Just done this)

* Your partner brings home welding wire cable drums from his work because he thought you might need it for Pre-School.

Come on, let's hear your thoughts!

Oh the 'collecting things' is way out of control here too  and I'm always 'thinking' about what I can do with 'things' and have been known to make a vast collection before I have even decided..........

One of my daughters-in-law is really good for 'saving things' for me too - she's a good girl :1b

Mr S once brought home about 12 packs of A3 white paper that was being put into a skip because of an office clear out - brilliant

when every time you go in to Sainsburys (other supermarkets are available) you go down the non food aisles ...just in case anything is on special offer that could be useful.......recent examples include water dispensers, wooden coasters that look like buttons, light up bracelets and balloons, turtle sprinkler ! (i'm afraid the list could go on!!!!)

....oh and you plan your summer holidays around your annual trip to Ikea!

you walk home

with powder paint all over your trousers and shoes

with glue and who knows what stuck to your trousers

a wet t-shirt from water play

or is just me?

No definitely not just you!

I can add getting strange looks in the supermarket due to me wearing a very pretty necklace made out of coloured cotton reels, Well, it was very short, in fact only just got it around my neck - hence i couldn't see it and forgot all about it.

When you fill your trolley with 180 fromage frais and 6 loaves of bread, or 12 packets of crumpets, bagels, pitta breads, cracker breads and crackers. Alongside oodles of fruit and vegetables. ( do get some strange looks).

My daughter did exactly the same as Mr S. Her office was moving and they were literally throwing everything into a skip.

We were so grateful to receive envelopes to last for years, A3 notepads, a A3 laminator and pouches, punch pockets.

Will certainly keep us going for a while.

I'm always on the look out for fun stuff whilst supposedly personal shopping, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I've obviously lived a very sheltered life - where do I by this....

From Sainsbury's. It's very nice, it's very fruity. I was making my own using our homemade wine and a slug of brandy and it was lush! Trouble was every time I drank it, I had the most awful headache after. I just pimp the Sainsbury's one up with fruit . Lidl do the best one but haven't been able to get it this year unfortunately.
