AnonyMouse_55079
Hi all, we are a committee run preschool and currently we have a business account with santander to do our banking, however this is becoming a problem as we can only have one signatory if we want full online access. Can i ask what accounts/banks other settings use and their experience with them Many Thanks

AnonyMouse_19802
Have heard on the grapevine that HSBC and some RBS banks are closing accounts of holders who are offering the 30hrs!!, And refusing extensions on cc and overdrafts!! Think they must see what we foresee.....

AnonyMouse_6721
I've used HSBC, Barclays and Nat West for community accounts. HSBC ok except for signature changes. Nat West rubbish for everything. Barclays ok, you can change signatures online. Even if you are online banking you can still have two signatures on the paperwork. Just set a form to put with invoices for committee to sign. It makes accounting so much easier and I think more secure as all the transactions are listed. Although it might be a case of seeing which banks still offer community accounts!
AnonyMouse_51737
We use the Unity which is good, we use post office to deposit cash and have all online set up. Can have numerous signatories and online authorisations but looking at others to compare fee's, how's people fees with other banks?
AnonyMouse_30128
we use Santander but have it set up so that the trustees are informed of payments ...so although they don't sign they can see what is going out (think there's an upper limit set too but would need to ask my administrator!!!) AnonyMouse_55007
We use Natwest and have done for years and have not experienced any problems with them, we currently have 2 signatories that can sign cheques and it has always been quite an easy process to add or take someone on/off. AnonyMouse_54841
We've just moved to co-op from Santander for exactly the same reason. We were fed up of faxing through payment requests all the time! Opening the new account took quite a while, but now it's happened, it's amazing at his much easier it is to do online transactions. One person sets up the payment online, then an approver logs in and authorises the payments. Much simpler. Would recommend.
