KS1/KS2 Analysis - Coverage screen

This tutorial will show you how to access the 'Coverage' analysis screen for Key Stage 1 and 2 frameworks. 

If you haven't set up tiers, children's MAPs or haven't started assessing KS1/KS2 on your account yet, you can use the tutorials linked below to help you.

This screen will show you how many statements have been selected per child/group according to period and the percentage (%) of statements taught for any child in the selected group  . 

To access this you just need to click on the 'Tracking' tab at the top of the screen on the browser version of Tapestry (1). Then select the KS year group you require, in this case I'm going to select  'KS1/Y1' (2).  Remember that only year groups that have been enabled via the control panel will be available in this menu. Then click on the 'Group view' button in the 'Coverage' box. 

 

 

 

To start you will need to select the year and period you wish to see coverage for (1). You can then filter which subject areas you would like to see 'coverage' for by clicking on the '150 statements' filter button (this is the maximum number of statements from all areas) (2). 

 

 

Once you click on this button you will then get the option to filter by subject, area and aspect by collapsing the + boxes next to each heading (3). After doing this it will then show as '-'. You can un-tick the boxes next to each subject/area/aspect you wish not to include in your results.  You can filter even further by un-ticking/ticking statements you wish to see coverage for (4) and you can also un-tick areas you do not wish to include in the analysis (5). 

Once you have made your selections, you can filter your statements (6).

 

 

You might not want to view this screen for all children, for example if you have your classes set up as groups, so you can then set further filters by selecting specific groups you would like to see the coverage for (all children are selected by default). To do this you just need to click where it says 'No filters set' from the 'Groups' section.

 

 

After you click on this button you can select a name you want this group to show up as on this screen if you wish (1) and you can then choose the group of children you want to add (2). Once you're done, you just need to click 'Submit' (3).

 

 

If you then wish to add another group to your results, for example if you wanted to compare groups of children, you can do this by clicking the 'Add group' button (4).

 

 

The first column is the percentage (%) result of the statements selected for coverage analysis, in this case 9 statements from KS1/Y1, English, Spoken Language only (1). The second column then shows the number of statements that have been assessed for each child for the subject area/aspects you selected earlier (2)

The graph underneath then represents the percentage of statements taught/assessed for any child for the group or group/s selected (3).

You then have a few ways in which you can export this screen; you can export both the chart and graph as a PDF from the 'PDF' button (4). The statistics can be exported separately by clicking on the 'CSV' button (a) and you can export a copy of just the graph by clicking on the 'image' button (b).
