AnonyMouse_79908 Posted January 30, 2018 Share Posted January 30, 2018 Purpose of Job: To work as a key worker and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the Pre-School Manager, Supervisor and Deputy to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children. Main Duties: · To help set up the learning area for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of each session. · To act as a key worker to a small group of children, liaising closely with parent/carers, ensuring each child’s needs and recognised and met. Feed activities into weekly planning. · To assist with curriculum planning as required. · To advise the pre-school manager of any concerns over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary. · To support children at an appropriate level, enabling them to achieve their full learning potential. · To attend half-term staff meetings and weekly planning meetings, both held on a Wednesday. · To attend training courses and workshops as required, including Safeguarding, Food Hygiene level 2, The Prevent Duty and FGM awareness. · To work within the parameters of the Terms and Conditions of Employment · To support colleagues within the work environment and operate as part of a team · To be fully conversant with all pre-school policies and implement them accordingly · To be punctual and operate in a committed and reliable manner, displaying a friendly and flexible approach.
