Zero Rated tax relief

Has anyone used the certificate of exemption for zero rated tax on a new build or conversion? looking into it again and would just like to find anyone who has experienced it, ta

Have you spoken to your builder about this? seem to remember they sorted it our for us ...but it was 8 years ago and lets face it i can't remember what happened an hour ago!

Sorry no. Didn’t even know there was such a thing - and have just spent a small fortune on a conversion!

have a read of this, we’ve used it for new build and conversion from non-resident to resident, I think it’s for change of use and new build, there is a time frame to submit a re-claim but might be worth a call to find out if you qualify.

Thank you, that makes me feel more positive that we are eligible. I had read the contested cases of two other nurseries that won their judgement and felt we was inline with them.

We bought a modular nursery in 2014.  We put forward a case and got the exemption certificate.  We had professional advice and from what I remember they quoted the cases of the nurseries that had previously won cases.
