FSFRebecca
Afternoon all! Regular followers of our GDPR thread will know that we took down the privacy notice for parents last week as we needed to be sure that the information provided on FSF reflected our best interpretation of the GDPR requirements. To this end, we have added an additional document to the privacy notice which needs to be used in conjunction with the original document. This is the basic privacy notice - it simply reminds parents of the data they have already provided (on the enrolment form) and reminds them of what you intend to do with their data and the data of their children. In order to comply with the GDPR requirements you must ensure that you provide additional information that sets out, in detail, what data you are holding, why you are holding it and what you intend to do with it. It is this second, more detailed document that has taken so much time to produce. The full privacy notice is here. You do not need to provide every parent with the detailed copy. However, you must make sure that it is readily available - that might mean you display it in your entrance hall, post it on your website or provide an individual copy if it is asked for. You can see the requirements for privacy notices from here
