AnonyMouse_25678
Hi All Gutted today to find out that our plans to purchase another nursery have fallen through due to being gazumped - but onward and upward and I am looking at the possibility of extending our current premises and introducing under 2's - lots to consider but has anyone else had experience of changing registration from 2-5 yr olds to under 2's? I have only recently re-registered due to purchasing the business and not sure I can face going through all that again. Many thanks
AnonyMouse_8282
I asked about under 2s at our recent re-registration visit and she said our registration would cover the lower age but we would have to prove how we would be planning the environment to met the unders requirements. I should add we had quite an intense inspector who didn't recommend we had the lower age group. We just wanted to be able to take the odd sibling here and there 22-24 mth. She made a big deal about how our environment would need to be suitable for babies too!

AnonyMouse_13453
I did it when we had a sibling who really needed a place so Mum could start back at work. He was going to be two in a little over a month, so, as said above, we just had to write down how we could accommodate his needs, ratios etc and what other equipment and space to rest and sleep we would be providing. AnonyMouse_30128
is it my imagination or can you mix the under two's with the older ones as long as they are over 18 months old ? (just for info...NOT suggesting I take them any younger!)
AnonyMouse_13453
The ratios are different, but I don't see why they shouldn't be together in the same room
