Adding info to 'All about me' in list form

Recommended Posts

We're moving our :All about me' sheets from paper-based to Tapestry.  I'm finding that I can't enter information in list form, which we find quicker and easier to follow - particularly with regard to such as family members, favourite toys etc. I've tried using the space bar to get to the end of the line, also 'shift+enter'.  These appear to work until I save the record - at which point it all goes back to showing up on a continuous line.  Is there any way I can make the information appear as a list please?

Many thanks

Hi Lois,

Thank you for getting in touch with us!

I am afraid that it is not possible to input information in list form. The reason behind it is that if this were possible, the 'About Me' page could potentially get rather long, which would compromise the page layout and its correct navigation and loading.

Is there anything else we can do for you?

Best wishes,

Olaya

Thanks Olaya.  I'd begun to think the answer was 'no' - at least I can stop trying now!

I'm guessing too that we won't get notifications when a relative edits the 'all about me' page - in the way that we do when they comment on or add an observation?  This would be really useful as otherwise we will likely miss what may be important information.

Many thanks  for your help

You are very welcome Lois :)

You can receive notifications for 'About me' page updates! These are usually set up as 'internal' by default (this is the little red bell that shows up next to your profile's name), but you can change your preference to daily or immediate email if needed to.

For that, you'd have to go to edit preferences > change notification preferences; the very first option is 'About me' updates.

Please note that the above will only change the notification preference for you; if you'd like to change the preference for all managers or members of staff in bulk you'd have to do so from control panel > settings > notifications. Bear in mind that each user will also be able to change their notification preferences directly from their own edit preferences panel as well, and that this choice will have priority over your set up preferences.

Best wishes,

Olaya
