AnonyMouse_71275 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Tapestry App is going to be updated anytime soon, as it really needs it!!! Thank you!!! Quote
EmilyTapestrySupport Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Hi, I'm sorry to hear you think that, we do work hard to try and keep the app as up-to-date as possible. Can I ask why you believe it needs updating? Best wishes, Emily Quote
AnonyMouse_71275 Posted October 12, 2018 Author Posted October 12, 2018 Hi, I love the way most of the app is set out. Although having nearly 300 children to flick through every time we need to select one child, is time consuming, especially when we need to be able to fill in our observations on the go. I don't think I have had an update for the app since we began using it roughly two years ago. Many thanks lisa Quote
EmilyTapestrySupport Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Hi Lisa, We do update the app fairly regularly, although some of these changes are quite small or are background changes, so you might not necessarily notice them. The most recent versions of the app are: iOS: 3.2.17 Android: 3.2.22 If you didn't want to scroll through all the children on the app you could create 'virtual classes' within Tapestry by assigning teachers with their key children. Once that has been done, you'll be able to restrict their view to only seeing their key children, which will not only allow them to see just their key children when logging in through the app, but also when doing so through the browser version of Tapestry. We are looking at adding some more features to the app, including the ability to filter the observations, so, in the future, there will be the option to filter by specific groups within the app. Here's a couple of tutorials on how to proceed with the above - hopefully you will find them easy to follow through! Adding key children to staff Restricting staff to only see their key children Please note that managers cannot have their view restricted as such, so for those type of users, or if you don't want to restrict your staff member's view as such, there's the option to change your page default filters to only viewing key children. This feature allows users to only view their key children when logged in to the app, but still gives them the option to manually change the filters to other children (or the entire setting!) when logged in via the browser version of Tapestry. I hope this was helpful but do let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Best wishes, Emily Quote
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 could you not just use the search function as well? or maybe that's a bit of a useless suggestion??!!!! 1 Quote
