Deleting staff members

This tutorial will show you how to delete staff members individually and in bulk.

There are various reasons you might want to delete a staff member's account, but the most important thing to bear in mind is that they will not be able to access their account or request a reset password email unless you make them active again. If you wish to learn more about user status please click here

Please note that all staff members that you mark for deletion will automatically change their status from active/inactive to 'awaiting deletion'. All awaiting deletion staff will remain in the account for 90 days, but once that period is up their profiles will get permanently deleted and you will no longer be able to see their name in the account. Any observation, report, etc., added by them will be authored by 'Deleted Staff' once that happens.

Rest assured that deleting a staff member will not delete any of the observations or reports made by them, as these are linked to the children's profiles and will only be deleted when the children are deleted.

We'll look at how to delete staff members individually first. To skip to the section on deleting staff members in bulk click here.

Deleting staff members individually

For this, you will have to navigate to the Control Panel from your profile's drop-down menu (1) > Manage Staff (2) > search for the staff member (3) > click on the cog by their profile (4) > select 'delete' (5).

Deleting staff members in bulk

You can delete as many staff members as you want in one go.

For that you will have to navigate to 'Manage Staff' (remember that you can get here by accessing your Control Panel). Once here, you will be able to select which staff members you'd like to delete by ticking the corresponding boxes (1). Then just select 'delete' (2) from the drop-down menu that will pop up at the bottom of the screen, and press 'go' (3).
