OlayaTapestrySupport Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 This tutorial will show you how to delete relatives individually and in bulk. There are various reasons you might want to delete a relative account, but the most important thing to bear in mind is that they will not be able to access their account or request a reset password email unless you make them active again. If you wish to learn more about user status please click here. Please note that all relatives that you mark for deletion will have their status changed from active/inactive to 'awaiting deletion'. All awaiting deletion relatives will remain in the account for 90 days, but once that period is up their profiles will get permanently deleted. Once this happens their names will be deleted from the account as well, and any observations added by them will then be authored by 'Deleted Relative'. Rest assured that deleting a relative will not delete any of the observations or reports made by them, as these are linked to the children's profiles and will only be deleted when the children are deleted. Also bear in mind that deleting a child will not automatically delete their relative, so once the children are gone you will have to delete the relative profile as well. We'll start by looking at how to delete relatives individually. To skip to the section on deleting relatives in bulk click here. Deleting relatives individually For this, you will have to navigate to the Control Panel from your profile's drop-down menu (1) > Manage Relatives (2) > search for the corresponding relative (3) > click on the cog by their profile (4) > select 'delete' (5). Deleting relatives in bulk You can delete as many relatives as you want in one go. For that you will have to navigate to 'manage relatives' (remember that you can get here by accessing your control panel). Once here, you will be able to select which relatives you'd like to make inactive by ticking the corresponding boxes (1), if you want to select all relatives at once you just need to change the select option to 'all' (2) in that page. Then just select 'delete' (3) from the drop-down menu that will pop up at the bottom of the screen, and press 'go' (4). If you are going to be selecting them all and have more than 20 relatives to delete - which is the default number of relatives per page - you can first change how many profiles are displayed per page from the corresponding option at the bottom of the screen: Go back to Main Tutorials Page
