AnonyMouse_10355
Hi I was wondering if anyone had an evaluation sheet/form for activities, they were willing to share. Need to find one for my staff to use. Did have one when I was a supervisor, but that was a long time ago.... Many thanks!
AnonyMouse_13453
Hmm. I did have one in the mists of time. I'll see if I can find it.
AnonyMouse_13453
I googled it and came up with this - is this the type of thing you meant?

Me too Cait and many revamped versions over the years and now I wonder why...
AnonyMouse_5970
Same here! We used to spend ages evaluating activities and no longer do this on paper. We just talk about it and make changes if needed.
AnonyMouse_13453
Yes. It became more like notes on the initial planning, but when we became more child-led with ideas and mini themes, we stopped doing them.
AnonyMouse_7120
And now it almost feels like I’ve come full circle over nearly 3 decades, umpteen hours of tweeking this or that sheet to stuff in a folder never to see the light of day again (a bit like my freezer really ....which is on the home TDL list for half term but is very unlikely to happen 😝)
AnonyMouse_30128
I read somewhere this week that planning is coming back on the ofsted agenda!
AnonyMouse_22029
Yes sort of. They will be judging on the quality of education. Ofsted are looking at cutting downon paperwork but me thinks that you are to have to hsve some planning and evaluation as evidence. Perhaps should not prejudge until they have given us more info
AnonyMouse_10355
Thanks Cait! I wanted the staff to evaluate adult led activities, really for self evaluation. At present we do not have a SE format, but are looking into one that our county offers.
AnonyMouse_13453
Your best bet then is to do it at a staff meeting. Make four headings on sheets of paper. What went well. What didn't go well. What equipment/resources would have improved it. What would we do differently next time. Some of the thoughts will overlap, and they should to some extent, particularly on the last sheet, but that one forms the basis of the start of the next plan, so needs the consolidated information. Brainstorming in this way helps staff be more proactive and imaginative in their next planning. They learn to see the potential pitfalls and strategies. AnonyMouse_10355
They do evaluate but normally only verbally at staff meetings, I just wanted to have it down in writing. I'm sure when we get some sort of evaluation format, it will all be come together.
AnonyMouse_30128
do you do peer on peer obs? might this be a more useful paper format so that you can use the information in supervision meetings?
