Guest Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 hi i am a nursery nurse in a L.E.A and am a member of unison. think its great to have backing in case of accident or complaint from parent etc Quote
Guest Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 What about private sector workers? And especially those working on offshore islands? I have heard that all that I can join is the TGWU? Are managers of private day nurseries general workers now or what? Quote

AnonyMouse_4544 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 We are in a redundancy situation and have been informed we will lose a TA so the unons are working quite hard at the moment on their behalf Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I'm a member of ATL (Associate of Teachers and Lecturers) and I know they have membership for support staff. Whenever I've needed to contact my union (last year mostly) they were a fantastic help. Quote
