VEYLDF Indicator Screens

Recommended Posts

Posted

On Tapestry the VEYLDF Indicator screens will show you how many times a child has been assessed against an indicator within a sub-outcome. You can see these as both an individual view and a group view.

To access them, you just need to click on the 'Tracking' tab at the top of the screen (1), making sure you are on the VEYLDF section (2) you then need to select either the 'Individual View' or 'Group View' button within the 'VEYLDF Indicators' box (3). I'm going to start with the individual view. To skip to the section on the group view click here.

Individual View

Once on the individual view screen you will firstly need to select a period of time (1), child (2) and outcome (3) to view. You can also choose whether you want to include unapproved observations (4) and if you have the Indicators and/or the Descriptors enabled you will get the option as to what type of statements you see (5).

After you have chosen the period, child and outcome you want to view, you will then see a chart broken down by each sub-outcome (1) and if you have selected to view the Indicators and Descriptors you will see each sub-outcome split up with one section for the Indicators (2) and one for the Descriptors (3). You will see the statements appear below both of these (4).

If a child has been assessed against an indicator it will appear as green and it will show how many times they have been observed against it (5). If a child hasn't been assessed with an indicator in the period you have selected, it will show as pink and having been observed '0' times (6).

If you want to export this page you can do so from the 'CSV' and 'PDF' buttons in the top right-hand corner (7).

So, that's the Individual View, now let's have a look at the Group View screen.

Group View

You can access the Group View screen if you are already on the Individual View by clicking on the 'Group' tab at the top of the screen.

Otherwise you can access it from the Tracking tab as I showed you at the beginning of the tutorial.

Once you arrive on the Group View screen you will need to choose a period of time (1), an outcome (2) and whether you want to include unapproved observations in the calculation (3).

Again, you have the option to include the Indicators and/or the Descriptors if you have both enabled (4).

On the Group View screen you have the option to include a column which will show you how many times each indicator has been assessed for all the children in the group you have chosen to view (5).

You can narrow down the group of children you view this information for from the children filters (6).

Once you have chosen the above options, you will then see a chart which is broken down by each sub-outcome (1) and if you have chosen to view the Indicators and the Descriptors, each sub-outcome will be split into a section for the Indicators (2) and a section for the Descriptors (3). Underneath these you will see the statements for both (4).

If you have chosen to include the 'All Children' column this will appear next to each indicator, showing you how many times all children you are viewing have been assessed with that indicator, for the period you have selected (5). Along the top you can also see the names of the children in the group you have chosen to view (6).

If a child has been assessed against an indicator, this will show up as green and you can also see how many times they have been observed against it (7). If they haven't been assessed, then this will show up as pink (8).

Remember, you can export this screen if you want from the 'CSV' and 'PDF' buttons in the top right-hand corner (9).
