Setting up and using the Pre-Key Stage 1 and 2 Framework

Recommended Posts

Before you can start assessing with the Pre-Key Stage 1 and 2 framework, you will need to enable it on your account. To do this a manager just needs to click on their name in the top right-hand corner of the screen (1) and select 'Control Panel' from the drop-down (2). Once on the Control Panel, you just need to select 'Settings' (3) and then 'Assessments' from that drop-down (4). On the Assessments page you will need to find the option 'Pre-key Stage One/Two' and once you do, click on the 'Configure' button (5).

You'll then be presented with a pop-up box where you choose to enable it (1) and whether you want relatives to be able to see these assessments (2). After making your choice, just click on 'Submit' (3).

Now that you have the Pre-Key Stage Framework enabled on your account, when you go to add an observation, you will be able to assess with it. If you have more than 2 frameworks on your account, you will see them all listed here and to assess with one you just need to select that button, so in this case I just need to choose 'Pre-key Stage One/Two'.

After adding the Pre-Key Stage framework into an observation, you can then choose which subject you want to assess with (1) and for each one there is a short explanation about how to make the assessment (2). For each subject you will then need to choose an area (3) and standard (4) to assess with and you can then select the appropriate statement/s (5).
