Guest TEEJ Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Can anyone put the second part of this pc (in brackets) into English "The application of sanctions is consistent with the policy of the setting and (clearly distinguishes disapproval of the behaviour from rejection of the child) This pc is 'repond to unwanted behaviour' Thanks, TEEJ
Guest Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Basically the behaviour is unwanted not the child. We don't label the child as "naughty, horrible, nasty, careless, stupid etc". "We do not throw toys, they may break or hurt someone" not " you are being naughty, throwing toys" What does your positive behaviour management policy say? You need to follow this in practice to gain this pc. Peggy
