Happy Birthday Froglet

Thank you! I had a very late night as I was determined not to work today or for the rest of term so today has been a late start. I’ve had pancakes for breakfast and am just being ‘cosy’ this morning and yes I will then be spending time with family and cake. My youngest niece sent me a video message of her singing Happy Birthday this morning and despite the rain it’s a lovely day!

*half-term although not working for the rest of term is tempting!

I had a lovely day. I went over to mum and dad’s where they’d decorated the gatepost with balloons. Then everyone else arrived. My youngest niece helped me unwrap presents (ie she unwrapped while I looked on). Lots of lovely books to read.

Then me and my niblings (generally referred to as the cousins ages 11, 7 and 3) made my birthday cake which tasted lovely. Then an evening just chatting and catching up. Today we’re going to Kedleston for a gentle wander.

The cake... it’s got a hidden surprise of jelly snakes inside!
