AnonyMouse_92632 Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 How is everyone managing not mixing groups of children? The guidelines say not to mix groups of children, how do we manage that when we have different children in each day ? we are very small and only have a maximum of 12 children in at the moment, we only have one room so very difficult to split them, but we do have a large outside space which we will be using. We can't avoid mixing them though ? Quote
AnonyMouse_12805 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Ours will all be mixed- up to 30 each day in the same room. We will have a group of 6/8 outside at all times though Quote
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I think the guidance contradicts itself in the first few lines, starting off saying we don’t need to keep to small groups then consider how you’ll minimise groups mixing ...well which is it 🤷♀️ we are returning as 2 bubbles (split by key groups with key staff) but mainly because we left set up as 2 indoor/outdoor spaces and we can do it, though I’m not expecting it to last past a couple of weeks....just long enough to see how the no bubbles settings do 😜 2 Quote
AnonyMouse_74246 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 each bubble is all the chidlren in that age group, so all 3 year olds no matter their schedule are in that group and do not mix with the other group when they are in. (although as soon as you hand them back to the parents they immediatly start playing with each other outside nursery) Quote

AnonyMouse_7120 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 We are definitely finding the 2 bubbles more problematic with more children, not sure how long we’ll keep this going. Quote
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 preschool one bubble...after school club 2nd bubble. Have given up trying to seperate more than that! Quote
AnonyMouse_74246 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 my worry is if a child is tested positive we'll have to shut the whole nursery down if the bubbles system fails. Quote

One room settings will end up closing 😪 and especially in mine as my daughter (who lives in my house ) is my deputy! Quote
