AnonyMouse_92632 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING ABOUT 'SAND' ? WE DIDN'T OPEN OUR SANDPIT IN JUNE, BUT WITH MORE CHILDREN COMING BACK IN SEPTEMBER I'M WONDERING IF THERE IS A WAY WE COULD USE IT AGAIN? Quote
AnonyMouse_39998 Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 we have the sort that are on a wheeled trolley, we are switching between two, one used for a day, then left for a few days, rotating the use . I see little point in using sterilising fluid in ours, after 10mins, most of it is on the floor, it gets mixed with all manor of garden materials lol. We have not used it indoors at all. 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 i keep toing and froing about this Ours is big and outdoors. Im not keen on using chemicals so i am thinking rotation is the best option too ...not sure about how yet!! 2 Quote
AnonyMouse_14268 Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 We have a big outdoor sandpit and the children, especially the younger ones love it and I have made the decision to have it again. Children will wash hands before and after and then we will spray with Milton and rake through. If we have sand indoors it will just be quarantined for 72 hours. 1 Quote

AnonyMouse_74246 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 had a local authority meeting with a rep from PHE, she said no sand. Quote
AnonyMouse_89041 Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Each of our bubbles has 3 sets of their own sand which is rotated through the week. Played with and then quarantined. We haven't had our shared sand pit since March Quote
