The EYFS 2021 flags allow you to select areas from the new Development Matters in purple (1), and aspects from the Birth to 5 Matters guidance documents in gold (2).

Anyone who takes out a new Tapestry subscription on or after the 27.09.21 will find that the Birth to Five Matters guidance is turned off by default when they go to enable the EYFS 2021 flag set, and can choose to enable it there and then.

However, those of you who purchased your Tapestry account before 27.09.21 will have both the new Development Matters and Birth to 5 Matters guidance turned on.

We aware that many of you are only using the new Development Matters curriculum guidance and would prefer not to see the Birth to 5 Matters aspect flags or reference material. It is also possible that you have changed your mind regarding the Birth to 5 Matters guidance, and would like to enable it or disable it.

This tutorial will show you how to enable and disable the Birth to 5 Matters guidance, which will determine whether the Birth to Five Matters flags and reference materials appear when you create posts.

For this, navigate to your profile's drop down menu (1) > Control Panel (2) > Settings (3) > Flags (4). Once here, select EYFS 2021 (5).

Click or tap on 'Configure' by the EYFS 2021 flag set.

This will trigger a pop up box, which will allow you to tick or untick the 'Include Birth to 5 Matters aspects' option, depending on whether you want this on or off.

Do remember to save if you make any changes.

And that is all! You can change this option at any time.
