Not all our users log into the forum every day so here is a quick guide how to keep notified of content that you might be especially interested in and don't want to miss.

Following a forum area

If you wish to be notified every time a new topic is started in a particular forum area that interests you just go to the forum area and click into it, for example 'Learning differences – SEND' in the screenshot below and (1) click follow and then (2) decide how you wished to be notified of new topics started in the forum area.

Following a particular topic

If you spot a particular topic that interests you then you can follow the specific topic and be notified when new replies are made, the screen shot below shows you how:

The tips above are a great way to keep up to date with new content that you are interested in while you are away doing other things :D

Have you set up your notification preferences? If not here is how:

From your name on the top menu bar select the drop down list (1). Select "Account Settings" (2) then select Notification Settings (3).

You can select different levels of notifications for different areas of the website, I have shown the 'Followed Content' area just as an example.  Select the area, in this case 'Followed Content' (1) then select how often you wish to be notified and how you wish to be notified (2).

If you select option 1 for your notifications then you will see notifications showing on the bell icon in the top menu bar when you visit the site or you can choose email notifications (2) and if you change your mind you can stop them from here:

And finally Don't miss out on new from the forum:
