Guest Posted May 27, 2007 Share Posted May 27, 2007 A few years ago one of the 4 year old girls came into nursery having just returned from a caravan holiday. She greeted us with "When we were in the caravan, Daddy wore mummy's bra". She was followed into nursery by the most embarassed looking daddy I have ever seen!!! About a week later when daddy brought her again (bearing in mind he'd not made eye contact with any of us for the week) I couldn't resist and said, 'We're still waiting for your side of the story you know!'. AnonyMouse_3139 Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 During last weeks awful weather, we were in the playground and a few children kept opening the door to the nursery. The staff kept asking/telling the children to keep the door shut to keep the heat in. Over and over we said it, until one lad, known for his frank speech shouted across the playground 'Shut the f***ing door'. AnonyMouse_1208 Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 We have a lot of EAL chn., we try to learn some basic vocabulary which the children think is really funny. We were doing a topic on our local environment and so asked a child what 'shop' was in their home language, he promptly replied 'Kwik Save'!
