Guest Really
We are having an science/art week this week and I am looking at bees! Any ideas on activities - anything at all? I am going to get the children to make what a bee sees through its compound eye by using straws, they are then going to draw what they see. I am going to link my maths in by doing repeating patterns and in Literacy we are doing a big book all about the honeybee. I am in need of inspiration! Thanks. Guest
How about making a bee book? The children could do yellow finger prints and later add legs with a black felt pen.

Guest
How about making bees in creative area and hanging on string around classroom. Is there some sort of bee dance (bees waking, coing out of hive, looking for pollen, back to hive to deposit, maybe a sting on the way?) you can do to some 'buzzy'music? My brain is a bit out of action - to much report writing!

AnonyMouse_3307
Today I saw a lovely Bee thing, the teacher had made hexagonal prisms with one end open. These were stuck on the wall in a honeycomb fashion mirroring a honey comb. then the children's bee models were displayed inside each of the honey cells. It looked fab.
