I have just come across this in a book that I am reading for work - What does it mean to be two? (by Jennie Lindon) and thought this would brighten up a damp afternoon!

That is so true!

My daughter's boyfriend's nephew will be two this month. His mum and dad took him to Toys R us because he wants a Bob the builder bike for his birthday. They couldn't understand why he had the biggest tantrum when they walked away without it! He had seen it and it was his and he was taking it home with him come what may-even if that meant throwing himself on the floor and screaming!

Hmm.. I like that! I've got a nice one here too. It has came from an old mag I have this on my wall coz i think it's really great and sums up a lot.

I PAINT 'CAUSE I WANT TO, IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD.

THAT GREEN BITS MY GARDEN, THAT RED BITS MY BLOOD.

THE BIT IN THE CORNER, THE BIT THATS ALL RUNNY,

IS YOU, YOU'RE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUMMY.

 

SO THANKS FOR THE PAPER, THE BRUSHES & PAINT,

I MIGHT MAKE A MESS, YOU KNOW I'M NO SAINT,

SO GIVE ME A PINNY OR PUT DOWN THE PLASTIC,

AND I'LL PAINT YOU CREATURES FANTASTIC.

 

WHEN I HAVE FINISHED, LET ME HELP CLEAN AWAY,

BECAUSE EVERY NEW DAY, I'M LEARNING THROUGH PLAY!!!
