Hi

Does anybody know of any songs or stories connected to the Topic of touch.

Thanks, my minds a blank

I think there's a story about a little girl who does a collage at nursery, rather than a painting, for her grandad who is blind - a "feely" picture. Haven't got a clue who wrote it or what it's called but this might jog someone else's memory!!

Kind of linked to touch a little

Hands , hands, what do you do with hands? (hold hands out in upwards motion)

you give them both a clap (clap hands)

shoulders. shoulders what do you do with shoulders (point to shoulders)

you give them both a shru (shru shoulders)

feet, feet what do you do with feet (point to feet)

you give them both a stamp (stamp feet)

arms, arms what do you do with arms (open arms wide)

you give somebody a love (hug a friend, or hug self)

that's all i can think of for now

Hands on shoulders,

hands on knees.

Hands behind you,

if you please;

Touch your shoulders,

now your nose,

Now your hair and now your toes;

Hands up high in the air,

Down at your sides, and touch your hair;

Hands up high as before,

Now clap your hands, one-two-three-four!

Hands

My hands upon my head I'll place,

Upon my shoulders, on my face,

At my waist and by my side,

Then behind me they will hide.

Then I'll raise them way up high,

And let my fingers fly, fly, fly,

Open, Shut Them

Traditional fingerplay -

Open, shut them, Open, shut them,

Give a little clap.

Open, shut them, Open, shut them,

Put them in you lap.

Creep them, creep them, creep them, creep them,

Right up to your chin, chin, chin

Open wide your little mouth

(hesitate)

But do not put them in.

Then clap, clap, clap them--

1,2,3

Now see how quiet they can be

Found another too..........

I have ten fingers (hold up both hands, fingers spread )

And they all belong to me, ( point to self )

I can make them do things-

Would you like to see?

I can shut them up tight ( make fists )

I can open them wide ( open hands )

I can put them together ( place palms together )

I can make them all hide (put hands behind back )

I can make them jump high (hands over head )

I can make them jump low (touch floor )

I can fold them up quietly (fold hands in lap )

And hold them just so.
