Guest Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 (edited) I am a FS Co-ordinator in a primary special school for children with complex needs asd, sld and pmld and I have been asked to develop play throughout school!!! I think it is a brilliant way of helping the older children to continue to learn through play, but wondered if anyone out there had a similiar role or could offer any useful advice, links etc. Thank you very much in anticipation of your help. Guest Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Don't know if these docs/links will help Bev, I've tried to find sites that may help children with specific difficulties: http://www.idea-knowledge.gov.uk/idk/aio/5194657 http://www.fisher-price.com/us/playstages/ http://www.playtherapy.org.uk/AboutPlayThe...yContinuum1.htm http://www.routledge.com/textbooks/0415303...f/side1and2.pdf
AnonyMouse_5013 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Wow what a lucky position to be in! I work with children with similiar needs but find it hard to get my setting understand that the younger children need to learn through play let alone the older ones. I will be interested to see how you get on.
