AnonyMouse_1195
Make a wish and close your eyes tight, Then sprinkle on your lawn at night. As Santa's reindeer fly & roam This food will guide them to your home. For your gift to the reindeer and Rudolph too Your wish may be real, your dreams may come true. OR It has once been said, That right before you go to bed. You should sprinkle magic reindeer food, To quickly bring Santa and his brood. For many years the legend has been told, To boys and girls, both young and old, Sprinkle the food throughout your yard, Then finding your house won’t be so hard! The reindeer can smell the food for 100 miles, Just do not leave it in big piles! After you do this you must go to sleep very fast, So Santa and his reindeer will not pass! Guest
I've never heard them before either Susan so it can't be a northern thing. I must use one of them this year though. Linda

AnonyMouse_1195
It was my Ta who started making it for the Grotto at the Xmas fair. Just glitter, oats and a few sequins. she puts the poem on the front and ties it with some red and green thin ribbon. Very popular.
AnonyMouse_2760
I have been doing this with my class for the last couple of years. I originally copied the idea after seeing some on sale at another local school's christmas fair!!! We usually mix the oats and glitter together in one big bowl and each child makes their wish and stirs it up. Then once everyone has done this we share it out into little polly bags and tie with xmas ribbon. Kids love it and I do too!!!!
Guest
We do it too but we're not in the North! We cut out reindeer shapes and stick on... MAGIC REINDEER FOOD On Christmas Eve, sprinkle on your garden or doorstep. The glitter shining in the moonlight and the smell of oats will guide Santa’s reindeer to your house. then attach a little polybag of oats and glitter. I may have to use a poem this year tho - they are nice!
