Hi,

Next week we have a foundation stage fun afternoon. One of the activities each group of children will have the opportunity to participate in is ring games/action songs. Just wondered which were popular with your children. Especially looking for any you do with a christmas twist!

Thanks :o

Here we go round the Christmas tree ............ on a cold and frosty morning

This is the way we.....

You can make up what to do such as put the presents around, put the lights on, tinsel on etc .... we have an old artificial tree and items to put on it so we do actually go round the tree and children take turns to put the bits on... great fun. children can add own ideas and make up actions too.

Our children love 'The Reindeer Cokey' -Reindeer Pokey...

(The Hokey Pokey)

You put your antlers in. You put your antlers out.

You put you antlers in and you shake them all about.

You do the Reindeer Pokey and you turn yourself around.

That's what it's all about!

You put your hooves in....

You put your red nose in....

You put your fluffy tail in...

You put your reindeer body in...

Also - (to tune of We wish you a merry Christmas)

Let's all do a little clapping x3

and spread Christmas cheer.

(you can then add verses as you wish eg - stamping, shaking etc.)

Have fun!
