Guest
Hello again I work in a special school with foundation stage children with a wide range of complex special needs. Next term our topic is "The world in our town". At the moment I can't get inspired by the theme, so wondered if anyone could help and give me a bit of motivation please. Obviously I want to make it as interesting and relevant to my children as possible, and I hope to do lots of planning and buying of resources over Christmas. Thanks in anticipation xxxx
AnonyMouse_379
Could you not split that down into weekly topics adn arrange visits to places and base the work on that? Maybe a visit to the shops..... write shopping lists etc and buy stuff for snack.... world link... everyone goes shopping. Visit the church or other religous buildings.....world link different religions... People who help us in our town... police, ambulance etc... Do you have a local paper that you could visit?.... if relevant to the children? Any use? L
