3d Worksheet

Recommended Posts

I've always avoided using worksheets, especially for 3D shapes, as the pictures themselves are 2D, therefore you can't actually justify to the children, especially at their age, the difference between flat and solid, when you are providing a flat picture of a 3D shape. My suggestion would be that you use a selection of 3D shapes alongside everyday objects i.e. boxes, tubs etc etc and get the children to identify the 3D shapes they can find in them. Get them to group them accordingly and take a photo of their sorting activity so you have evidence of the work they have done without possibly misdirecting them with a very flat piece of paper to work on 3D shapes. Hope this helps!
