Guest Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 In 2 weeks it is my class assembly to the whole school. My theme is goldilocks and we are acting out the story. Wanted to know if there is a way which I can get the book onto my computer so it can go on the big screen while children are acting it out. If i can get the book onto my computer I am able to record the story using a microphone on the powerpoint. My first thought was scanning the book in but I wondered if maybe there is some other way?
Guest Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) Is this link any good to you Mookie? You can save the pics and drop them into your presentation http://ngfl.northumberland.gov.uk/english/...nes_gallery.htm Edited January 20, 2007 by Guest
AnonyMouse_2157 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Have you thought about taking a photo with a digital camera of each page? Not sure about copyright on this one but I did do it once for a page from an art book
AnonyMouse_832 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 If you have access to a scanner you can put the images into a power point presentation - I have done this a few times and inserted them into flipcharts for use on our Promethean whiteboard.
AnonyMouse_4544 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 (edited) Just found this in my favourites you could use if you have internet access http://bookworm.com.sg/e-book-preview/e-bk...ilocks-pg01.htm Edited January 25, 2007 by Marion
Guest Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Thanks for your replies! Have scanned it in and recorded me reading the story with the kids doing the voices for the bear. Who knew an assembly could be such hard work - it's not till next Friday and am having sleepless nights already!
Guest Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 seems like you are well prepared, relax now and good luck for the day, I am sure it will go fine. Peggy
