AnonyMouse_2127 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi I have a rather dog eared copy of Infectious illnesses, including Chicken pox, diarrhoea, glandular fever, impetigo, measles, mumps, ringworm, etc etc., I can't remember where I got it from - was it on here or was it from a NHS website. I have had a quick look on google but nothing comes up for exclusion from school, pre-school and child care. Can anyone help please? Sue J
Guest Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Sue In Stockport we were given a file and CD from the infectious diseases department at the local hospital. It has symptoms, exclusion periods and sample letters to send out to parents/carers. You could perhaps contact your local hospital and ask if they have anything they can give you. Linda
Guest Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Sue, found this leaflet from a quick google search. Peggy illness_exclusion_pdf.pdf
Steve Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Sue - We have one in our old list of policies which might be the old one you've got. I've just added two files to the Policies category of the Resource Library which you can download.
Guest Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Sue This is the one we are using, but Linda's does sound very comprehensive and up to date! Infectious_Illnesses_of_Childhood.doc
Guest Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I think the one I use is from the Department Of Health - i will try and let you have details, its an orange and blue printed thing but its on my notice board at work - if it gives me a URl I will post it up here. Nikki
AnonyMouse_2127 Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Thanks for your replies. I have only just got home from babysitting my 4 grandsons (11, 7, and twins 15 months old.) Just had to have a quick look in here - so thanks, I will have a proper look tomorrow. Sue J
