Guest
Can't believe its that time of the year again, class assembly time. Was wondering if any of you lovely people had any assembly ideas?! Our topic this half term is 'Animals' I was thinking of doing 'Polar bear, polar bear what do you hear?' but yr1 are doing that so its back to the drawing board. We are going on a trip to the zoo next week and thought it might be nice to link it to this. Any thoughts?
AnonyMouse_5180
Why not base your assembly around 'Dear Zoo'. I have done this as an assembly before. You need a large box painted as in the book with children dressed up as animals hiding behind. The children also painted pictures of their favourite zoo animals and read out their accompanying sentences. I have also done an assembly on Handas surprise. This seems to work really well. If my hard drive hadn't crashed I could have sent you a copy of the scripts!!!
Guest
As you are going to the zoo could you incorporate the song "We're all going to the zoo tomorrow" and perhaps base your assembly around this? Linda
Guest
Wow, I love the idea of 'Dear Zoo'. I made a story sack around this story a while back <proud emoticon>
Guest Wolfie
Last time I looked, there were some nice storysack resources for this story on Ebay if you're short of time!
