Recommended Posts

Yeh, really excited, we have just booked a holiday of a lifetime. :D

We are being rather extravagant because we haven't had a holiday in quite a few years and this will be the last one we have as just a couple because of our new foster family who arrive in April.

Almond Beach village Barbados

Hope this link works it is to a vidoe of the resort we are going to March 27th - April 6th :D

http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/enlarge_almond.asp?

Seems like the insert link doesn't work because of my hubby's new computer settings most probably xD

Peggy

oooh, seems I don't need to use the www icon, I just paste the address and it puts the link in.

Sorry waffling about computer use but I am learning new things about our new computer every day. :o

You do know me don't you :o

Only today I said to hubby that I would need to take my laptop.

1/ to store the many photos as thy won't all fit into our photo memory cards.

and

2/ I will need to do some degree study. xD but I don't mind, as long as I am not in my home office. :)

Peggy - you cannot do degree study on your holidays!!!!!!!! :o

OK, well a minimal amount of background reading if you must but

I feel I really must put my foot down with a firm hand! Holidays are for resting and enjoying yourself - maybe a little bit of impulse purchasing of some lovely resources for nursery but NOT WORK!!!

"I feel I really must put my foot down with a firm hand!" :(:(

I'll take that as being told LJW.

Peggy

Ooo Peggy, that looks lovely :D:D

Are children not allowed there? I didnt see any on the video (what a bonus!! )

Have a wonderful time :D:D

NO CHILDREN

There are two hotels with a shuttle bus service between them 'The Village' and 'The club'

The village is where we are staying, no children under 12 yrs. :D:D

Families stay at 'The club' . We can use all facilities at 'The Club' for free, using the free bus service. :D

There is a total of 10 swimming pools between the 2 hotels. xD and of course the white sands beaches :(

If anyone would like to post the full words to the song ( I do recall the tune) I am sure my daughter ( who works with me) will love it if I sing it every day at preschool with the children until the 27th :o I am wicked. xD

Wore my sunglasses at work yesterday saying I needed to prepare for the hot sun. Took the children on a local walk and we saw a palm plant in a garden at which I said, " Ooh look, they have those in Barbados" Daughter has threatened to go into a deep depression unless I shut up about it. Just a tad excited and can't help it though. :D

Just one verse and chorus will be sufficient :(

Barbados Lyrics

Ladies and gentlemen

this is Captain Tobias Willcock

Welcoming you aboard Coconut Airways Flight 372 to

Bridgetown

Barbados. We will be flying at a height

32.000 feet

and at an air speed of approximately

600 miles per hour. Refreshments will be served after

take-off. Kindly fasten you safety belts

and refrain

From smoking until the aircraft is airborne.

Woh

I'm going to Barbados

woh

backa to the palm trees.

Woh

I'm going to see my girl friend

Woh

in the sunny Caribean sea.

I don't want to be a bus driver all my life.

I've seen too much of Brixton town in the night.

Fly away on Coconut Airways

fly me high

Barbados sky.

I look up the sky and I see the clouds.

I look down at the ground and I see the rain go down the drain.

Fly away on Coconut Airways

fly me high

Barbados sky.

Woh

I'm going to Barbados

woh backa to the palm trees

. . .

Far away from London Town and the rain

It's really very nice to be home again.

Mary Jane met the Coconut Airplane.

Now I know she loves me so.

Woh

I'm going to Barbados

woh backa to the palm trees

. . .

Ladies and gentlemen

we are now commencing our approach

To Bridgetown

Barbados. The weather is fine

with a

Maximum temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The sky is blue

And the palm trees are really cool. Captain Willcock and his

Crew hope you have had a pleasant flight

and that you will

Fly Coconut Airways again.

Woh

I'm going to Barbados

woh backa to the palm trees . .
