Guest Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Well, I've made it! I am now a retired lady! They gave me a wonderful send off at school - a farewell party on Thursday night with present and past staff and governors (from my 21 years at the school), and then a special tear jerking assembly with the parents and children on Friday. My house is adorned with cards, flowers and other gifts. Lots of memories but also relief - no more planning, no more Ofsted etc etc. Off to France on Monday for a rest and then the move to Dorset in the summer. Quote

Guest Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 WOW - after 21 years you deserved it all. Have a wonderful retirement although I am sure you will still be busy keeping your hand in all sorts of things. Have a great trip to France - what a joy to be able to lie in bed and think about what you can do without having too many constraints. Any plans for taking up something completely different - I always fancied plastering - the stuff you put on the walls!!! Nikki Quote
