Hi everyone - I desperatley need your fantastic ideas!

I'm going to a party tomorrow and have only just realised it's a 1970's themed party! I have no idea what fashion was in the 70's! :o Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Bell-bottomed trousers..... or you could go as a Bay City Rollers fan - anything tartan! Think of all the glamrock bands - Slade, Sweet, etc.etc. Definitely platforms if you can get hold of them!! Oooh and hot pants!!!

Got to stop, getting FAR too excited at the thought of it!! :o

It was awful - never have I felt so glad that a fashion era had ended, I hated flares and the minute they were replaced by drainpipe jeans I vowed NEVER to wear them again!! (After that we spent all our time at uni sewing our jeans up along the seams to make then even skinnier)

striped socks with toes.

cheesecloth

peasant dresses

cork wedges - OK they were good.

My school uniform was tartan and an awful lot of skirts lost a couple of inches around the bottom which ended up on the 3/4 length flares around town!

Dire!
