AnonyMouse_705
Hi Do you stipulate a notice period for parents to give before they leave your setting? Just wondered if anybody has a policy statement you could share with me. Thanks
Guest
Ours is part of our terms and conditions Deb. I have just attached these to Mary's post about contracts if you want to have a look at them. Linda
Guest
In our pre-school we ask parents to give one months notice. Our paperwork says that we will charge parents who fail to give his notice, but in reality most people are really good, infact very few leave once they have started so its not really a problem. I have had to charge parents in the past for leaving without notice. However it is hard to get money out of them once they have left!
AnonyMouse_7317
in our terms and conditions it also states a months notice is needed in writing
AnonyMouse_6541
We charge 2 weeks notice period which they can attend or not, but we take this as a deposit now when they first start. They must also pay weekly or monthly in advance so they are always paid up. In the past we have had people leave owing hundreds and unless we take them to court which will cost more than the time is worth then there is no way of getting them back. Guest
Just catching up - we ask for a month's notice. If no money received send letter stating if they have received funding through the working tax credit or any other then it is our duty to advise of non-payment of fees. AnonyMouse_7474
We charge one months deposit when a child starts and ask for two months notice. However we waive this in some circumstances.
