  1. Hi penelopebunting, congratulations on making your first post.

If you are using PRAMS in a school or government building it is likely that your internet connection is routed through a proxy server. If so, you can set PRAMS up to connect through it, have a look at this topic. If you don't know the details of your proxy server then you should ask your IT department or whoever administrates your network. If you have any further problems with this just post somewhere in the PRAMS forum area and I'll try to help.

  2. Hi loulizrob,

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, try right clicking on the PRAMS shortcut and clicking "Run as administrator". This should allow it download the plugins. If this doesn't work you can email me your setting file (matt@foundation-stage.info) and I will convert it and send it back.

  3. Hi manatee, sorry for the slow reply. This is just a message from Windows (albeit rather a scarily worded one) to say that it is running a program that is unsigned. In order to stop this happening, we could replace it with a slightly less scary sounding message box by purchasing an expensive code signing certificate. This doesn't really seem worthwhile.

  4. Hi

Just joined Foundation Stage and uploaded PRAMS. Unfortunately we keep getting 'connection failed' message when we try to log in. Could this be that we're only on Windows XP?

    Hi henryallen,

Welcome to the FSF and congratulations on your first post. This is most likely because PRAMS is being blocked by your firewall. You need to add an exception for PRAMS to your firewall to allow it through. If you are using the Windows firewall it can be accessed through Control Panel, 3rd party firewalls are all different. If you have a computer system administrated by an IT department then it's best to get them to sort it out.
