    Me too, if child A is sent home with symptoms no one else needs to stay home unless child A is tested positive or anyone else in child A’s bubble shows symptoms ....or that’s my understanding of the EY guidance, even if they can get tested I guess any result won’t be instant .

    It sounds like you have it all under control, I’m thinking a lot more rotation than trying to keep cleaning resources, we have loads so it may be a good thing for us to scale back :-)

    How many staff do you have Blondie? I have 4 to start and am planning on having the same 2 with children so I have staff to be the next bubble, I have 4 already who missed the deadline after umpteen reminders so they will have to wait 2 weeks now ...that probably sounds harsh but I just want to get back in for a couple of weeks and find our way before the challenge of running 2 bubbles (or 3 starts).

    Yes 1 group, opening for 3 days a week and they will all come a combination of those 3 days with the same 2 full time staff (all being well) for first 2 weeks, then find out if any others want to start from wk 3 and create a 2nd bubble, I’m a little unsure how things will work out when I bring part time staff back in though unless those staff are prepared to work their hours in a different pattern to the norm if possible :-/

    We were on about 7/8 (total of 12) now looks like 4/5 due to the school plan to take different years back on different weeks so parents are now wanting to wait until the school sibling can start too 🤦‍♀️

    You’re not wrong there...you guys are my team 😊 I just choked on a strawberry FM with the t**ts up, but I’m still considering using ours spread out e.g Monday 1 week for one group, close again, Tues next week for diff group or even Mon/Fri ? I read somewhere it was more because it’s an area too many gravitate to but if managed it could work. maybe they can get a rent-a-loo, there’ll be thousands going begging with no festivals happening ....now there’s a thought 🤔

    It’s what we’ve all discussed on here already, so I’m sure you’ll be fine ...though it does say all chn can be tested once back with a link to testing....which says not under 5’s 😝 if they can’t sort it out between them we have no hope! and it clears up the sand debate or their take on it 🧐 it does talk about preparing a plan with your team....yeah right what team will that be then? Man UTD football team? Maclaren F1 team?

    If a cuddle is needed then yes from their group (I’m already fed up of typing bubble) staff, I can see problems early on until they used to only looking to those 2 staff for support when they would normally seek out a different member of staff, and I worry in the longer term that it isn’t could for them to only rely on the same staff and become attached to the same small group of chn :’( I guess they could wash their hands before doing ring game/hand holding activities but lots they could do without. To begin with yes (1 group), when we get to 2 groups though I’m not sure, I plan on open, clean, close different cubicles but if I have 1 group inside the others will need to go through to get to the toilets which might be a problem without adult supervision now as they wonder in for the toilet and get distracted.

    I’ve never made it, that seems like a small quantity, could double it up, they can make their own, choosing their own colour or colours if making smaller quantities.

    As for the press conference yesterday when the testing under 5’s question came up and the answer was “all children going back are around 5” says it all really doesn’t it? Early Years does not figure in any of their thinking, we’re on our own as we wade through this s*** creek 😡

    Sounds good 👌 I was thinking if doing a welcome back, Things might be a bit different, this is who is here to look after you (as not all KPs yet). I want to send my parent agreement as a survey monkey type questionnaire, but I want to know who sent each back...can anyone tell me how that can be done or which is best to use? Ta

    Listening to the Matt Butler YouTube webinar ...the carpets, rugs, materials were the least of our problems as it can only live on those textures for 6hrs so by the time you get back the next morning it’s gone, it’s the hard surfaces like glass, stainless steel, plastic, laminates that it won’t be gone by the next day and even books, rotation seems the best way to go and obviously don’t lick windows 😝 the question on taking work home to mark paper/books was leave 12 hrs (24hrs even better) after the child handled it before you taking home...which surprised me as the government tell us daily our letters and packages aren’t a problem 🤔

    Thanks FM, I see your points but just don’t see how I can possibly have bubbles of only 3 or 4 chn, I’d soon run out of staff and not have enough separate spaces for it to work 🤦‍♀️

    Oak academy is quite good too, even though it’s primary school if you have some quite bright chn they will manage some of it very well.

    What are people’s thoughts on chn joining a group later than some, I had a bubble sized group (8) starting 1st June but half now don’t want to start until the following week due to siblings not starting back at school until then, but I can’t only staff them as a separate bubble as no staff left for chn who want to re-start later.

    I’ve prepared a kind of action plan come risk assessment, which is a work in progress as I keep thinking of things I should have included, you’re welcome to have a look. The thing I’m not finding in all this guidance (but it probably is somewhere) is if we have a positive case who do we report it too? PHE, Ofsted? Have we seen anything from ofsted? (Other than the odd temp change to the framework - this is today’s update)
