Hi Weavers,
Happy New Year to you all! We hope you all had a lovely and relaxing Christmas and New Year.
New features
Baseline period added to Age Band Tracker
Adding the baseline period to the Age Band Tracker screen was a much-requested feature from many of our users, so we were excited this month to have this go live.
To see children’s baseline assessments on this screen, you’ll just need to ensure the ‘include baseline’ option is enabled there. This tutorial will walk you through where to find it and what the information on there will tell you.
New User Permission
We have recently added a new user permission, which you can set for relatives, ‘view other relative’s observations’. If this is set to 'not permitted', relatives linked to the same child will not be able to see each other's observations.
As with the other user permissions on Tapestry you can set this for to apply to all relatives or just for individual ones. For more information about how to set the user permissions for relatives on Tapestry, you can check out our tutorial about them.
'How to set up relatives' video
Many of you that started using Tapestry this year might now be thinking about setting up relatives on your account. To help you do this we have made a video tutorial all about adding relatives to your Tapestry account. This will talk you through the different ways to add relatives to Tapestry, as well as the different account status’ and how to set up relative permissions. We hope you find this useful!
You can also find lots of resources to help you in the process of setting up relatives, such as template letters and permission slips, available on the forum in the resources section. Remember, a subscription to the forum is included with your Tapestry membership. If you need any assistance logging in to this, please contact us at customer.service@eyfs.info.
Settings using Tapestry in Singapore
Next month one of the members of our product support team, Sneha, will be spending a few months working for us from Singapore. Whilst Sneha will be over there she will be available to go and visit any settings using Tapestry, or who are thinking about using Tapestry. So, if you are based in Singapore and would like a visit, we would love to hear from you!
As well as being a part of the product support team, Sneha is also our Montessori expert. Having worked in several Montessori settings, Sneha wrote, and helped us add, the Montessori curriculum to Tapestry. So, if there are any Montessori settings in Singapore, this would be a fantastic opportunity to speak to our Montessori expert!
If you would like to try and arrange a visit please contact us at customer.service@eyfs.info.
New Tapestry webinars
Our Tapestry webinars continue to be very popular, so we have recently scheduled some more! As ever, all our webinars are free to attend. You can find all our upcoming ones on our Webinars section on the forum and you can sign up to them from there or by emailing customer.service@eyfs.info.
If you’re not able to attend any of the webinars, we do try and record all of them for people to watch later. You can find all previously recorded webinars within this section of the forum.
Changes in the FSF team
Last month we said goodbye to Holly, who was working within the product support team and as a finance assistant. We wish her the best of luck in her new role. We were delighted this month to welcome back Louise, who had previously worked for us, and is now working as a customer service assistant. Welcome back Louise!
