New wire fencing to the rear. (The back door is always locked and alarmed anyway, but should i say so as she didn't ask about it or look at it on the day?) There are extra bolts on the front gate, but not a lock as it is our fire escape route. I have al…

hello all ofsted came in yesterday, a lovely woman we have been longggg overdue over a year now going 2. She said it was a brought forward inspection due to to complaints, even though we are overdue phew!!. The inspection went very well and the allegations were not founded, terrible allegations that we were hitting a child, i cried when she told me so hurtful, but she calmed me down and praised the staff and nursery. WHY do folks make such allegations we have CCTV all over the nursery, of all allegations to make. l am so paranoid now and can't relax even though it was a good inspections. 4 complaints in the space of a year, and three of those were made withi…

Hi We've had some staff go on training recently and returned asking what Ofsted can look at or what they may ask to see? It has been 4.5 yrs since our last inspection and just wondered what recent ones have entailed? Many thanks in advance

Hi, I know I have seen this somewhere but I can't find now typically! I am just updating my procedure that I stick in the visitors book and want to double check what ID we check for an Ofsted inspector. Is it their ID badge and a passbook or something? Thank you :-)

Our long awaited inspection today what a relief we have big smiles on our faces. During our feedback she told us what we did well complimented us on our audit/action plan that we use instead of a sef and made us feel proud. She loved our learning journeys our tiny outside space and our relationship with parents all of which our LA advisor thought we needed to work on . Hot on our work with funded 2yr olds resources and changes needed to our practice for this. Supervisions looked at everyone's, and how we understood and showed a child's progression monitoring of …

I just wanted to share our good news with you all. We are a small setting and a registered charity with 7 staff and at the end of February we received outstanding in all areas. We have been expecting Ofsted since the beginning of the school year but that didn't stop the nerves when the inspector arrived unannounced. Our last inspection was Good and due to the change in inspections we were hoping for the same, to get outstanding was a dream come true. As you can imagine we all cried, I'm not sure what the inspector thought of that. The worse part was not being able to share our good news with the parents/carers for a whole 3 weeks until the report came through. I have to…
