I have spoken over the last few months about being made redundant and have had tremendous support. We can now officially tell people about our Ofsted result..... we got OUTSTANDING the report was published last Friday we are so so pleased. The nursery team that I work with are fantastic and on Friday we all leave it is so sad but we leave with our heads held high and our integrity intact. Myself and Deputy and one other member of staff are moving to a setting who are changing from child minding to child care on domestic premises, it will be a challenge but one we are ready to take, because the last year has been horrendous. xxx

an early inspection ( they phoned on Monday evening) and got graded good/outstanding. Which apparantly is v.good ( last years outstanding is this years good as they have raised the bar) Still feel a little deflated though despite her repeatedly telling me well done... She loved my LDs and transition report. Loved my (changed again) system. Also said my tracking was bob-on. Also said that now she had someone to recommend to friends ! Got to have been the best inspection ive had ( ie me relaxed mainly because she was ) Their Focus is on LD and DM and extensive understanding of how to TEACH. Thought i would spread the word !.

This was sent to me by my foundation stage coordinator she was shown it at a coordinators meeting apparently these videos are being used to train ousted inspectors....... http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/literacy-non-negotiable-learning-through-play-and-establishing-foundations What happened to physical, PSE and language being the prime focus? I am baffled!!!

A few weeks ago, Ofsted visited our nursery and out of school provision. We got the report back a couple of days ago so I can now officially say that we are an outstanding setting! We got outstanding in all areas. The inspector made us feel very relaxed and it was a good experience (as good as it can be when Ofsted are in!). We are all very happy with the result and are looking forward to a nice long week off! x

May sound like a stupid question, but I have been working under the impression that Ofsted never do inspections on a Friday!! Is this correct or is it just a myth? I think I was once told that Fridays was the day that they complete paperwork!!
