The village school has just heard it will be inspected tomorrow. We are in the same village but not on the school site. How likely do you think it is that we will be inspected at the same time? Actually hoping we are, strangely enough! Our last was Dec 2008.

Hi just out of interest has anyone ever refused an Inspection. Okay so I will explain my question. We were inspected in October 2012, with an expectation not to see them again for 3/4 years from our outcome. As we had to re-register due to us becoming an Incorporated Company with Charitable Status. I was advised as the Committee now Trustees, staffing, premises had not changed another Inspection was unnecessary. Guess what they arrived today to inspect us again. Although in principle I am not against having it done again, just feel peeved to have to go through the draining process so soon after the other one. Sorry rant over.

I am just about to ring OFSTED to notify them of a couple of training days we are having. I was wondering if I am able to ask them not to inspect on the 1 day of the each week that my deputy is not in the setting? Or would this make them more alert and likley to visit on that day?

Received OFSTED email today so thought I would share. I see that OFSTED will no longer being doing 'suitable person' interviews. Haven't fully read or digested it yet but my first thought is that in general it seems more decision making is being given to providers. Hi We are a private Pre-School based in a local Primary School, we rent a classroom, garden and car park from the school. They have received the call today that Ofsted will be in on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. We are not due until at least January/February next year and received a 'Good' jundgement in last Ofsted. So is it likely that we will also be inspected? When Ofsted contacted the school they weren't even aware there was an Early Years Setting at the school!! They did ask questions, such as our Ofsted registration number, how many children on the role. Sor of hoping they will as obviously new children and revised EYFS in September!! Kris
