Well the school next door to us have had the Ofsted call for tomorrow......we are not connected to the school only in that we feed them lots of lovely children...but the last inspection the school had the nursery was done at the same time and so one would imagine that maybe tomorrow we will be too! Exciting, terrifying, sleepless night tonight, .........all will be revealed tomorrow.....

I have just started in a setting and ofsted will be due any day, so just trying to work out where tostart with everything. Hi All Have not posted for a while but have popped in and out to see what is happening. Just wanted to let you know we had our Ofsted today and was very very pleased with the outcome. Just for everyones information I was updating our sef the evening before and was able to access it during the inspection so the belief that you can not access your sef if you are about to be inspected is NOT CORRECT.

We are a Partnership foundation stage unit with the school, but still a PVI setting currently in our own building still. The school were inspected Wed/Thur and we spoke to the Head inspector briefly just to tell her about our relationship with the school and how good it was. She was very surprised that they weren't due to inspect us too (and so was I as I had been expecting to be as we are due as well as being on a school site) so I think she made a phone call, as low and behold an inspector arrived this morning. Was with us all day, and we are very happy with our result. She was very interested in tracking progress of the children (which I had a passionate discus…

Ofsted Action Plan
by Guest- 3 replies

Hi, I have been asked to write an Ofsted Action Plan for a day nursery with about 6 recommendations. I have outlined each point and wrote how I think to meet it. Will Ofsted look for anything else? I would be grateful for any ideas as to how to set out etc, what I need to include. Bit worried about it not being right when they come back!!!! Do I need to include targets, deadlines etc. If anyone has one they have used they could show me I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hi just wondered if anyone has come across this. We are a preschool and had a ofsted in 2008 where we got a good. Now we come under the umbrella of the school we had another ofsted in november 2009 and recieved an outstanding. I telephoned ofsted today to find out if we can use the outstanding ofsted sign and they said no because we have to go by what the school got which was a good. Even though he said we had an outstanding the ofsted inspector was with us for two days as well. I also found out that because we have 2 and a half year old children we need a seperate ofsted number from the school which means we will be inspected separetly from the school again. I do not thi…
