I have filled in the sef on the back of are you ready for your inspection but don tfeel it is detailed enough has anybody got one I could look at?Also did you go for satisfactory,good or outstanding?I have gone for satisfactory but you know when i have thought again we are good in all areas (our last inspection showed this as well so why am I afraid to say so)Should i chamge it?

Ofsted turned up for us on Wednesday. we knew it was going to be this term because she had come the first week of the new term but because we only had two children due to staggered starts (we are a college nursery) she said she couldn't do the inspection but would come back this term before Christmas. It was a relief to be honest as every day you keep thinking is today the day. She observed our funded children one day then came back on Thursday and looked at paperwork and went back into the pre=school area then a short time was spent in the toddler area. I explained to her that I have only been manager for 12 months and that we had problems with our planning as we hav…

Yes Inspector arrived today!!!! Think of us please..................................she is staying all day tomorrow and guess what we have the photographer in! she wants to inspect our under threes too......................any tips advice????, plus she thought of coming on Friday as we are having our Harvest teddy bears picnic, so she thought she could feedback after watching that.......feeling a bit wobbly especially as the staff had a night out together (courtesy of the parents) last night. Hi I just wondered how long it is between ofsted inspections. We had our last one in feb 04, we are still waiting, i'm sure they must be due. Since last inspection we have had a change of manager a yr and a half ago plus we had 3 actions plans on last inspection, i took over just after their last inspection, so i'm hoping i have addressed all the issues but i just wondered How long have others gone between inspections.

HI well ofsted have been and gone and..... we provide good care. we provide good education and i am a suitable person to be the manager..... I am so pleased and proud! proud of the staff and children and proud of myself. The inspector loved our planning and implementation of activities she loved that our children help with many aspects ie making tea she loved that the children were able to choose there own toys she said the staff were attentive, caring, fully aware of policies and procedures and confident in their roles. we got one satisfactory overall and that was on the being safe (as parents had not signed children in and we hadn't notice…

HI well well well, Ofsted have arrived, I am currently on annual leave this week, today we went to Blackpool and we have a few other day trips planned. Anyway monday evening i joked with my deputy that if ofsted arrived the file was on the shelf, the operational plan was on the shelf and she knew where everything was. My deputy said, 'oh, they won't arrive and laughed it of' low and behold they arrived today..... i don't know weather to laugh or cry. HI we are expecting a visit soon apparently (not sure how our director knows this, but she is adament they will come soon) two questions, firstly when ofsted arrive i assume they tell you who they are and show you some ID? ~ what ID is it (ie is it a badge round their neck etc...) and how do you make it clear that you are checking tehir ID without appearing to be too overscrupulous (if that is even a word????).... obviously i want ofsted to know that we are 'vetting' who comes into the nursery... but is it appropriate to just glance and the badge and then welcome them in... I started my new job as supervisor on Tuesday and was feeling slightly apprehensive about what I was taking on. The morning session went really well and I was half way through the afternoon session when ofsted rang to say they would be coming on Thursday (today) to interview me . My bed time reading has been the national standards, child protection, birth to three............... Anyway the inspector arrived this morning 10.30 on the dot and was with me for three hours!!!
