For the last year I have waking up thinking "will they come today?" And today ofsted came. The inspector was very nice and it was a good inspection. At first I felt nervous but after the initial five minutes it was absolutely fine. The children were wonderful as were my wonderful staff. I feel able to relax a bit in the half term now. I'm taking the staff out for a celebratory meal next week. Really looking forward to it. V

According to Ofsted's annual reports and account, 2014-2015 the contracts for Tribal and Prospects have been extended and the contractors will continue to inspect early years providers until March 2017: 'The current contracts with our inspection service providers (ISPs) for schools and FE and skills inspections come to an end in August 2015. These changes to how we resource inspection will help to ensure that we have the necessary quality, control and flexibility in our workforce to deliver our plans for the future of school …

After a very long wait Ofsted finally arrived yesterday! I was starting to think they had forgotten about us! We had a really lovely inspector who was very complimentary about everything we do, it was a really enjoyable experience with none of the nerves I expected. The staff were all amazing and the children were too! Not allowed to divulge the result but suffice to say our smiles could not possibly be any bigger!!! It still seems a little unreal

Hi, Can anyone help? - We have been told that we need to inform Ofsted of changes to our committee by telephone or by use of EY3 form can anyone tell me if this is an Ofsted requirement and if so where I can find it?? I've looked on the Evaluation Schedule, Conducting Early Years Inspections and various other Ofsted guidance but can't seem to find it anywhere - unless there has been an update to guidance?? Many thanks

Phew - after feeling slightly sick and not sleeping. Ofsted came this morning for 3 hours and I am so very pleased to say I achieved a 'very strong good" (not that thats means anything lol a goods a good) I had my last inspection November 2008 (good), just when EYFS had come into force. So lots of changes happened in that time thats for sure! once I've calmed down I'll tell you more about the day! So glad it's over now though!

I am trying now to stay one step ( at least!) ahead of the O squad. Does anyone have a buildings risk assessment ( indoors and outside) that O thought was brilliant?? And if so, would you mind sharing it?? I think ours is goood, but I want to use fresh eyes on things, I want to be ready for them when they return! Thank you

I am desperately looking for ideas as to what to do with our children after lunch. (2 - 4year olds in a mixed age setting) the two year olds are tired so really need some rest / quiet time but we also have a couple of older boys who pitch up at lunch time and are, I think, desperate to be outside. The problem is that for about half an hour we can't let them be outside because we have parents coming and going and it is too risky to use the outside space. So these boys are stuck inside creating mayhem. What do others do at this time? Any suggestions great fully relieved.
