I hope someone can help. Can anyone recommend anything to help a young family cope with the sad loss of the husband. Everyone in the family is so shocked because it was such a tragic accident so they are not really able to help emotionally as they are greaving as well.

Hi, I need some feedback on how training is dealt with in pre-schools. I have asked our chair for a standardised pay system when staff go on courses and she has said that it all depends on finances, which is fair enough, but are'nt we entitled to pay? At the moment they will pay our wages if the course falls on a day that we would normally be open but if its on a Monday (when the pre-school is shut) we dont necessarily get paid, (again there is no hard and fast rule here). Before I demand our money I'd like to hear how other pre-schools do it. Not only for training but also paperwork, shopping, preparing activities etc...Thanks

Can you please help a very distressed degree student? I am currently undertaking research and I have put in reams and reams of work but I fear this could all fall flat on it's face. Even though I have contacted and sent out questionnaires to a number of schools and teachers, replies have been limited to say the least. I have a short questionnaire for teachers currently teaching Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. I aim to find out what problems, If any, they have experienced with the transition between Reception and Year 1, and whether the way to resolving these problems would be to bring the foundation stage curriculum up further into Year 1. Obviously this wo…

ok so can anyone help. i am a very stressed Y3 final year student trying to complete my dissertation i am looking at how brain based learning can be used to support and develop children ability, attitude and acadmeic perfomance in a reception classroom. (Changed behaviours, attitudes to learning) Well at least i think that is what i am looking at?! I was wondering, hoping that someone may have used philosophy for children (Robert Fisher) with reception children and would be willing to send me some comments as to its success/ failure in the classroom? i am also thinking (there's that word again!) about linking it with the QCA speaking and listening documents recent…
