Guest peekleeds
had our ofsted inspection on friday - we had expected it to be this term but not just 5 days into the new term. We had 2 inspectors and they did the inspection in one pre-school session, after initially telling us they would be here on monday as well, and gave us feedback on the same day! It went very well and was positive, even though we haven't finalised the recording process for our observations etc they were happy that we were developing the system at present. The children were fantastic throughout the session. I have just about calmed down enough to focus on the coming week but at least we are not now waiting for the door bell to ring everyday! AnonyMouse_8466
What a relief, peekleeds: as you say you can relax now safe in the knowledge you won't be getting the call! Why did you have two inspectors? Oh, and what were they particularly interested in? Maz

Guest
Hi When we were inspected back in November last year we had two inspectors, one was the others boss if that makes sense but they were both inspecting. On our second inspection (see previous posts for the dramas, we got inadequate 1st time round) we only had one inspector who was the less senior of the two. However this was in July before EYFS and so we were inspected as normal.

Maz there will be 2 inspectors until everyone is satified that things are ok. So don't be suprised to see 2 inspectors for a few months. Guest peekleeds
Hi they explained there werte two of they because obviously the inspection process had changed slightly and it was new to them too. One inspector looked at the welfare requirements and the other was looking at learning and education. It worked well especially as we should have had a two day visit this was much less disruptive to the session. We had not even started to completethe SEF, I explained to them when they asked (as soon as they arrived) that this was our first week back and we had intended to complete it during our regular staff meetings with all staff having input - they were ok with that and team leader just made sure all info was put in front of them. She also asked if there was anything else they needed to see in case we had missed something. Mind you our feeder primary school could not believe that we get no notice. They had recently had their ofsted inspection and all the staff were in during a bank holiday to prepare.
