Guest
I'm not sure where I heard this, but I understand that OFSTED expect to see a policy on Staff Protection - about issues such as false allegations etc I guess. To some extent this already comes under the Child Protection Policy, but I guess they are wanting things like how staff can be advised to adopt sensible practice to avoid this happening, e.g being within eye and earshot of a colleague when changing a child wherever possible; staff checking on colleagues who have been on their own with a child for several minutes to make sure everything is Ok. I have briefly checked the resources available here but couldn't see this one. That may be because I'm not very good at searching! If there isn't one, I'd be really grateful if someone could post either their thoughts or an example policy, as I'm just about to get ours reprinted & I'd rather be ahead than behind! Guest
Hi Peggy, Thanks very much for that. It's put my mind at rest because I don't think I now need to do much more than add a line.
Guest
We also have a code of conduct for Physical contact which might be useful. I have posted it before but will try and attach it here too. CODE_OF_CONDUCT.doc
